Sponsored messages
A small advert card appears in the corner sometimes, and you get paid a little each time one is shown.
When you would want it
It is how ADCode is free. If you would rather not, turning this off costs you nothing else - no nag screens, no locked features.
Where to find it
- All Features → Sponsored messages
- Settings → adcode.ads.enabled
What you get out of it
- Half of every advertiser payment lands in your ledger, shown to six decimals.
- Cards never interrupt typing, debugging, running commands, or an unfocused window.
- Off means off - no nag screens, no locked features, no countdown to a paywall.
How to use it, step by step
- Open Settings > Sponsored messages.
- Leave it on to earn; each verified card credits your ledger.
- Or switch it off - ads stop, and nothing else about the editor changes.
- Set Frequency to control how often cards may appear when enabled.
Why this beats the usual way
Ad-supported software usually means the user is the product and the terms are one-sided. Here the schedule is enforced on your machine, the server can only tighten limits - never loosen them - and turning the whole thing off costs you nothing but the earnings.
