Auto-save after delay
Stop typing for a moment and your file saves itself.
When you would want it
So losing work stops being possible, and so you stop pressing Ctrl+S out of habit every few seconds.
Where to find it
- All Features → Auto-save after delay
- Settings → adcode.session.autoSave
- Keyboard → CmdOrCtrl+S
How to use it, step by step
On by default.
- It waits until you pause, so it never saves a half-typed word.
- You can still save whenever you like with Ctrl+S.
Why this beats the usual way
Losing work is a policy choice. Auto-save after a pause, continuous backup of unsaved buffers, local file history, and full workspace restore are all on by default - so a crash costs seconds and a reopened window looks exactly like the one you closed.
Shortcut
CmdOrCtrl+S
