Local file history
ADCode quietly keeps its own copies of files as you edit them, separate from your project's history.
When you would want it
For the moment you delete something you needed and had not saved into your project's history yet. It is the undo that survives closing the file.
Where to find it
- All Features → Local file history
- Settings → adcode.session.localFileHistory
How to use it, step by step
On by default.
- Open the Timeline for a file to see the local copies alongside the committed ones, and open or restore any of them.
Why this beats the usual way
Losing work is a policy choice. Auto-save after a pause, continuous backup of unsaved buffers, local file history, and full workspace restore are all on by default - so a crash costs seconds and a reopened window looks exactly like the one you closed.
