Auto-rename paired tag
Change the name of an opening tag and its closing tag changes to match, by itself.
When you would want it
Renaming one and not the other breaks the page, and you usually find out somewhere else entirely.
Where to find it
- All Features → Auto-rename paired tag
- Settings → adcode.editing.autoRenamePairedTag
How to use it, step by step
On by default.
- Edit the name inside an opening tag; the closing tag follows as you type, and one press of Ctrl+Z undoes both together.
Why this beats the usual way
Other editors give you this through a stack of extensions that each need installing, updating, and reconciling with each other - and half of them reset when a colleague opens the project. ADCode ships these behaviours in the box, on by default, identical on every machine that opens your folder, and each one is a single switch away if you disagree.
