Universal search
The search box in the title bar finds ADCode features, commands, files, recent folders, and symbols together.
When you would want it
One search is faster when you remember what you want but not which menu, panel, or file contains it.
Where to find it
- All Features → Universal search
- Search (command:search.universal)
How to use it, step by step
- Choose the title-bar search and type a name or goal.
- Use the arrow keys and Enter to open a result.
- Start with > for commands.
- Ctrl+P, Ctrl+Shift+P, Ctrl+T, and Ctrl+Shift+F still open their focused searches.
Why this beats the usual way
Terminal, run button, live preview, collaboration, and a command palette that indexes everything: the pieces that make an editor a workbench are built in rather than assembled from extensions, and each one degrades honestly - telling you what is missing instead of failing mysteriously.
