Branch switcher
Work on a separate copy of the project, so you can try something without disturbing the version that works.
When you would want it
It is the safe way to attempt anything risky. If it goes badly you throw the copy away and nothing else was touched.
Where to find it
- All Features → Branch switcher
- Settings → adcode.git.branchSwitcher
How to use it, step by step
On by default.
- The current branch name is at the bottom-left of the window; click it to switch to another or to start a new one.
Why this beats the usual way
ADCode's source control drives plain git - no proprietary VCS, no account, no lock-in. Staging, committing, blame, timelines, and conflict resolution get the visual treatment heavier IDEs charge for, and the repository stays exactly as portable as git itself.
