ADCode

Memory capture

The assistant writes down decisions and conventions about your project, so it does not need telling twice.

When you would want it

Explaining the same thing at the start of every conversation is the main reason AI assistants feel forgetful.

Where to find it

  • All Features → Memory capture
  • Settings → adcode.ai.memoryCapture

How to use it, step by step

On by default.

  1. Memories are plain markdown files in your project folder - you can read them, edit them, and delete them like any other file.
  2. Settings shows you where they are.

Why this beats the usual way

Most AI editors rent you a subscription, choose your models, and take a margin on every token. ADCode connects to the provider you pick - major labs, a gateway, or a model on your own machine - stores your key in your OS keychain, keeps conversations on your disk, and shows you exactly what its memory holds.
