ADCode

Chat history and memory

Every conversation is kept, so you can go back to one. A strip at the top shows exactly what the assistant is remembering right now, and a button clears it.

When you would want it

Assistants that forget everything are frustrating, and assistants that remember invisibly are worse. Showing what is remembered makes clearing it something you can actually see work.

Where to find it

  • All Features → Chat history and memory
  • Open Assistant (command:ai.toggle)

How to use it, step by step

  1. The list beside the chat holds your past conversations - search them, rename them, delete one, or clear them all.
  2. Conversations are stored on your own machine, per project, and are never uploaded.

Why this beats the usual way

Most AI editors rent you a subscription, choose your models, and take a margin on every token. ADCode connects to the provider you pick - major labs, a gateway, or a model on your own machine - stores your key in your OS keychain, keeps conversations on your disk, and shows you exactly what its memory holds.
